Health Heroes

We need your help to create a new exhibition which will run from 17 August until 30 November.

Health Heroes will showcase objects and stories from the people of Leeds to start a conversation exploring the ways in which we look after ourselves. From soft toys to box sets, the display will shed light on the objects and people that help get us through when we are not feeling our best.

To feature in the exhibition, tell us who or what you turn to when you are unwell. Do you settle down with a friend to watch Netflix, munch your way through a giant chocolate bar or do you cheer yourself up with your favourite brand of soup? Whatever it might be, we would like to hear about it.

In addition to the exhibition, there will be activities to get involved with, the first of which is a big Health Heroes doodle. This collaborative artwork will celebrate friends, family, and all those who contribute to looking after our health.

To get involved, come along to the museum from 17 – 31 August and get sketching. To share your health stories, tweet @thackraymuseum using the hashtag #HealthHeroes or email harry.jelley@thackraymuseum.org
