Museum Activity Volunteer

We run a wide range of activities for families and we are looking for volunteers to expand our team.  Activities can include crafts, cooking, science demonstrations and games.  The theme for activities changes each month and they run from 10am – 3pm on Saturdays during term time and from 1pm – 4pm on weekdays during school holidays.

By joining the volunteer team, you will receive notifications of upcoming opportunities and you will be able to select which ones to get involved with. Recent activities have included making poo, having therapy horses in the museum and face painting. The work is very flexible, so you could join in with just one or two a year, come in every Saturday, or anything in between!
We particularly welcome volunteers with skills in arts and crafts, science, and experience with children, but  the role is open to anyone over the age of 16. The experience is great for your CV and you are guaranteed a warm welcome from our friendly team.
