Book Your Tickets Welcome to Thackray Medical Museum. Housed in one of the most impressive Victorian buildings in Leeds, the museum is truly unique and the only museum of its kind in the North of England.

Through nine interactive galleries we will take you on a journey of discovery to explore the incredible world of medicine. Travel from the Victorian age to the present day to explore the fascinating world of surgery and find out how breakthroughs in science have changed all our lives for the better

Exciting family activities take place during the school holidays and every Saturday during term time.  Take advantage of your annual ticket to come back again and again and again!

From talks and films, to performances and fright nights, special events for all ages run throughout the year. 

We are on the major bus routes from Leeds City Centre. Number 16 from Leeds railway station and the numbers 42, 49, 50/50A all stop outside the museum building.

* unlimited 12 month annual pass for the pass holder only. Tickets bought online will be exchanged for an annual pass at first visit and these are non transferable to anyone else.

The Museum is housed in an old and historic building. It can sometimes be cold in winter and hot in summer. Please wear suitable warm clothing in winter.
